Abilseit Kozhagalievich Akzholov, an experienced specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, took the position of Deputy General Director for Production at Ural Oil & Gas LLP on 1 July 2025.
Abilseit Akzholov has risen through the ranks from an oil and gas production operator to senior leadership roles in the country’s leading oil and gas companies. His professional experience ranges from development and exploration drilling to field development, project management, procurement and technical operations.
Over the years, he has held various key positions, including Technical Advisor, Head of Geology and Reservoir Department, Director of Drilling & Well Workover Department, and First Deputy General Director of Ural Oil & Gas LLP. He also has teaching experience at industry-specific universities.
Abilseit Akzholov possesses extensive academic and professional training in the oil and gas industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and Technology with a specialization in Oil and Gas from the K. I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University. He also graduated from Sh. Yessenov Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering with degrees in Oil and Gas Well Drilling, Oil and Gas Field Development and Production. As part of his professional development, he obtained international IWCF certification in well control and participated in educational programs in the USA, Hungary, and Kazakhstan.
For his outstanding professional achievements, he has been awarded honorary certificates and anniversary medals by Ministry of Energy and Committee of Geology of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He has also been recognized by Company’s Shareholders for his contribution to the launch of the Rozhkovskoye field.
Appointment of Abilseit Akzholov marks an important step in strengthening UOG’s production division. His expertise and deep understanding of the industry will contribute to the effective management of operations and the successful execution of the company’s key projects.
